 
Steven DeBoy, Sr. is a lifelong resident of Arbutus, currently residing in Wynnewood with his wife, Jenny. Steve and Jenny have three children, Steve Jr., Mandy, and Diana.
Steve has served in the House of Delegates since 2003. He has served on the Appropriations Committee, the Health and Human Resources subcommittee, the oversight committee on Personnel, the education subcommittee for the Baltimore County Delegation, and has been the Vice-Chair for the Baltimore County Delegation since 2005. Steve is a member of the Maryland Veterans Caucus and served on the Task Force for the Exemption of Law Enforcement Officers’ Pensions from Taxation. He has also served on the State Board of Victim Services as well as the Southwest Area Educational Advisory Council to the Board of Education in Baltimore County. Steve is currently the House Chairman of the Legislative Joint Audit Committee as well as the Vice-Chairman of the Public Safety and Administration Sub Committee.
Steve graduated from the Baltimore County Police Academy in 1977. He holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Baltimore, and an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Catonsville Community College. Steve has over 32 years of law enforcement and public safety expertise, serving as a Baltimore County Police officer and detective, retiring after 20 years of service in July 1995. Steve also worked as a Special Investigator for the Howard County Police Department for 12 years.
Steve is a member of the Elkridge Community Association and the Southwest Baltimore County Democratic Club. Steve is a member the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 4 and serves on the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center Board of Visitors. Steve is also on the Maryland Food Bank Board of Directors and is a member of the Wynnewood Community Association, Holy Name Society of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus Council 11618. He was a member of the St. Augustine School Board and he is the former President of the Relay Elementary School Parent Teacher Association.
